A House Like No Other

I’m still in the process of visiting all of the great projects and rooms linked up from this week’s Addicts (not so) Anonymous link party.  I’ve seen some really fantastic and inspiring things from you, and have gotten lots of inspiration for future projects.  So thanks to each of you who linked up!
But while I was clicking away and reading various blog posts, one in particular caught my eye, and I just had to share it with you in case you missed it.
If you’ve read this blog for long at all, you know I like things that are different…unique…out of the ordinary.  Enter…The Weld House.
No, it’s not completely decorated yet (heck, the Welding Wife and her super handy hubby only moved in last November), but you can still see how amazing this house is because it’s all of the finishes and materials that make this house so unique.  Oh, let me shut up and just let you take a look…

I love it!  The combination of the corrugated metal ceiling, the aged woods, and the stone is simply perfect!

Don’t you just love that massive rough hewn tree trunk column?!

More metal and wood…the perfect combo.

This is the master bedroom.  I really like the flowy, feminine bedding with the wood wall.

The master bathroom.  Aren’t those medicine cabinets fantastic?

The guest bathroom.  I simply love the metal wainscoting.

Another view of that same bathroom.  The combo of the rough and worn finishes with the ruffled shower curtain is just wonderful.

Isn’t this a beautiful and unique home?!  I just love seeing people branch out to do something different.  I’m really looking forward to watching the progress on this house.

  1. Hello Kristi,

I really enjoyed viewing the photos of the Weld house. The rustic woods found in the home give it that old world charm that I love so much and I wouldn't mind having a coffee table similar to the one they have. The little cabinet in the bathroom is to die for, I have been looking for a little inspiration of my own for my bathroom and I think I may have found it!

  2. Thanks for all the sweet comments, Kristi! I was so surprised when I popped over to your blog just to see if there was anything new…to let you help me pass some time… and saw our house. Talk about making a girl's day 🙂 I must call Mr. Welder. He will love it. Thanks again.

  3. What a gorgeous home!! I agree with you, the worn finishes plus the more feminine touches are absolutely gorgeous. 🙂

And I may need to rethink my counter options in our kitchen!
