Addicts (not so) Anonymous Link Party

It’s Friday!  And it’s September!  And it’s still hotter than blazes here in Central Texas.  In the month of August, we only had one day…ONE DAY…that the temps didn’t reach triple digits.  And 18 of those days, the temp was 105 or above.

I know I’ve said it already, but I’ll say it again.  I’m so ready for fall!!

But anyway, enough about that.  As you know, these Friday link parties are all about YOU!  I love being able to see what y’all have been working on!!

Before we get to the new stuff, let’s look at some goodies from last week…

I can never resist a great chair makeover.  I find them so inspiring because chairs like this can be found in just about any flea market, second hand store, garage sale, or even on the curb on trash pick up day.  This chair from 4th Avenue turned out great!  I love the green paint color with the black and white fabric.

I’m also a sucker for monograms, so these monogrammed lamp shades from Conspicuous Style really caught my eye…as did the black walls, the wainscoting, those amazing mirrors…

This Restoration Hardware knock-off fire column from In My Own Style is nothing short of spectacular.  I’ve never done any projects with concrete, but this looks kind of fun!

Naturally this closet-turned-office from Killer B. Designs caught my eye.  I only wish my closet was this big!!

And lastly, I love this idea from V Spot on how to use your not-so-great photos (perhaps it has an ugly background, or you were mid-sentence when the pic was snapped).  This is a great idea!  It’s fun and whimsical.

Alrighty, now it’s time for you to show off your stuff!!

I want to see anything and everything that you’ve made with your own hands—everything from home décor and room makeovers, to recipes, clothing, accessories, etc.  Anything goes.  If you’ve made it, link it up!

(Please link recent projects.  And please still refrain from linking Etsy stores, your giveaways, your link parties, and your general blog URL.)

Ready to link up?  It’s easy!
  1. Add the link to your specific blog post to the link party below (be sure it’s the permalink to a specific post, and not your general blog URL);
  2. Be aware that if you link here, your project may be highlighted here on the A2D blog, the A2D Inspiration files, or the A2D Facebook page (credited and linked to your blog);
  3. Grab the code for the button below and add it to your post so that others can join in the fun (or just add a text link on your post leading back here);
  4. Take a look at other projects linked up here, and be sure to leave comments so they know you’ve visited!!

Alrighty, link ‘em up!

Psst…Want to get sneak peeks and behind the scenes looks at my projects? Come join us on the A2D Facebook Page!

  1. I didn't know you were in Central Texas….me too! This summer has been ridiculous!
    Plus I'm eight months pregnant, so 110 might as well be a million, lol. Today I was driving home from a friends house and the car thermometer said 98. I thought to myself "98 degrees, that's a damn cold front!"

    Anyway, thanks for hosting another party, yours is always one of my favorites 🙂

  2. I don't know why it always says my comments are from my husband on your site…this is Ashley from Domestic Imperfection 😀

  3. Hi Kristi-

    Thanks so much for featuring the concrete fire columns I made.They were not hard at all – just picking up the 80lb bag of concrete mix was a little difficult.  I was only going to link up my latest post to your link up and then I read in your post that you love monograms so I linked up another. Hope that is ok.  I also tried to tweet your post using the twitter button at the bottom of your post and it took me to a blogger error page.  I will try again.

    I hope it cools off soon for you.

    My best- Diane

  4. Don't you just love those monogrammed lamps?  They're gorgeous!

    Thanks for the opportunity to show off projects.

  5. Hi Kristi!  Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway.  Also, the code wouldn't work for me…not quite sure what went wrong so I saved the button and uploaded it as a pic.  Has anyone else had the same problem?

  6. OH Kristi! You have really very creative mind! I never think of doing the same thing before. Mostly we bring new things when it gets old and boring, but you really giving a great idea for decorating our house with the same old things….Amazing…! 🙂
