Blogs You Should Read: The Rooster And The Hen
Hello all! Well, it’s been a slow week for me as far as projects go. I’ve been working on non-project related stuff the last few days (like getting a new blog up and running), but hopefully I can get back to my projects today.
In the meantime, I wanted to share a favorite new(ish) blog with you. I’ve decided that I want to start making this a regular thing here on A2D because there are so many fantastic blogs out there, and so many unbelievably talented bloggers! When I come across one, I want to pass it along to you.
I’m sure many of you have heard of today’s featured blog, but if not, then you’re in for a treat!
The Rooster And The Hen is a blog that’s been on my radar ever since I saw this amazing master bedroom transformation…
The next project that caught my attention was this amazing Ballard-inspired chair makeover. The chairs went from blah to beautiful with paint and fabric.
Pretty great, right? I think it’s pretty safe to say that Whitney and Dustin, the creative minds behind The Rooster And The Hen, will have tons of creative inspiration for us in the future. I mean, if those two projects didn’t convince you, then surely this recent project from them, a front porch makeover, will not only put a smile on your face, but will entice you to check in on them often and see what they’re up to.
There’s plenty more to see over at The Rooster And The Hen, and I’m sure there will be plenty more creative goodness coming from these two in the future. Be sure to check ’em out if you haven’t already!
**Psst…Do you have or know of a home/decorating/DIY-related blog that you think I and the readers of A2D would enjoy? Feel free to shoot me an e-mail at [email protected] and tell me all about it!
Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
Kristi, you made our day and said so many sweet things! Thank you! We wish you well on your new blog (we just had to take a peek) and I’m sure it’ll be as fun and well put together as A2D!
The Rooster and The Hen is definitely something to cluck about (sorry – very bad attempt at chicken humor)!!

The Rooster and The Hen are on my daily reading list! I don’t just love their projects … but the fact that they serve up some serious humor with their diy!
