Color Scheme--What Color(s) Do I Use With Black and White Bedding?

I just bought a black and white/cream toile comforter set and it's very classy and beautiful. The only problem is I don't know what to do with the rest of the room for curtains, a rug, and sheets. I can't decide if I should use pinks and oranges, aqua blue and light greens, and or mix all those colors together. Please help!! I'm not very creative!!
Answer:
I absolutely love your bedding! There are so many possibilities.
My preference with bold black and white graphic patterns is to use one other accent color, and stick with that strict color palette. That way, it keeps the bold black and white bedding as the main focal point. If you add too many colors, the room will begin to look busy, and the bedding will lose its impact.
The color that you use completely depends on what color you enjoy. But, for example, if you really like pink, then you could paint your walls a soft shade of pink. Then you could find some black fabric for window treatments and add a three-inch band of pink fabric on the leading edge of each drapery panel. Another idea is to add a band of pink fabric on the bottom (or top) of the draperies.
Then continue to bring in pink throughout the room. A pink pillow on the bed, a pink throw, a small bouquet of pink peonies on the nightstand, etc.
If you're not sure that you would enjoy that much pink, then choose a color that you really enjoy. It could be almost anything...red, green, aqua, robin's egg blue...really, almost anything. And also feel free to vary the SHADES of the color you choose. You could use a soft pink on the walls, a darker pink pillow, a medium pink for the accent on window treatments, etc.
Happy decorating!
