Fabric Options For My Bedroom (and a Giveaway Winner!)

I am so excited…giddy, really…about my new bedding from P.C. Fallon.

It haven’t received it yet, but I’m already dreaming of what I want to do with my bedroom. I really think I want to do brown, white, and green. Or maybe I’ll add some blue in there, too. Who knows?

I was looking through my “inspiration file” last night, and came across this bedroom via myhomeideas.com I absolutely love this room.

It has very bold walls and draperies, and yet it doesn’t look busy or overbearing.

So while I was at JoAnn Fabrics yesterday, I looked quickly through their special order decorator fabrics to see if I could find something that interested me. Try as I might, I didn’t find anything with blue AND green in it–or at least nothing that I liked.

I did spot a few green and white, though. Almost immediately, I spotted a cute daisy fabric in the 45″ home decorator cotton fabrics. So using that as a starting point (maybe for pillows or something), I looked for a drapery fabric.

This first one is my favorite, but the greens are quite different. Perhaps that’s not all that important. I really love the big geometric design.

This one matches much better. I definitely has more yellow in it, and I really like the pattern. I just wish it was bigger and bolder, like the first one.

This one is nice, but I really think I’m leaning towards a geometric print.

And this one is kind of like the second one–I like the print, but it’s not really bold enough for my taste. Plus, the greens are off.

So that’s what I came up with in ten minutes at JoAnn Fabrics. When it comes right down to making a purchase, I’m sure I’ll spend a great deal more time mulling over my options. But I really am liking that first one. Perhaps I’ll use the first geometric print, and ditch the daisy print for something that blends a little better.
