I Want To Feature YOUR Projects!

Good morning, all!  Things are moving right along with my living room bookcase wall.  I got two more coats of stain applied to the countertop, finished sanding the lower cabinets, and installed the trim along the bottom.  Oh, and I also finished up the flooring tiles!  But I wanted to wait another day before I take more pictures and show you the progress.  I’m hoping to get all of the lower cabinets primed today.

Anywhoo, let’s talk about YOUR projects!

Once upon a time, I used to feature other bloggers’ projects (mainly taken from my weekly link party, which I no longer have) on a a regular basis.  It was so fun to be able to see what other bloggers were working on, and it was also a chance for me to possibly introduce some new (or new to you) bloggers to those of you who visit me each day.  You can see all of the great projects I featured by clicking this button on the menu above above…

Somewhere along the way, I stopped doing that.  But I want to start again.  My goal with Addicted 2 Decorating has always been to bring you great low cost decorating ideas, whether those ideas come from me, from some other talented blogger, or from a non-blogging homeowner.

So I’ve done some rearranging on the blog, and I now have a page on my blog where you can submit your projects to be featured here on Addicted 2 Decorating.  If you’ll look up at the very top of the blog, you’ll see an orange tab that says “Submit Your Project”.  Just click that tab, and you’ll see a form where you can enter all of the info about your project.

And the best part?  You don’t have to be a blogger to submit a project!  I realize that bloggers aren’t the only talented people around.  There are loads of homeowners doing amazing things in their homes who don’t happen to blog about them.  So I’d love to show off your projects as well!

But for those of you who are bloggers, rest assured that the pictured will be fully credited and linked to your blog, and a direct link to your blog will also appear on the gallery page.  (I’m in the process of adding those links to the posts that are already there.)

And one more thing…you can add up to three social media links so that people can click to follow you directly from the post.  Want to share your blog’s Facebook page?  Twitter?  Google+?  Perfect!

Now for those of you who visit me each day and think, “But I come here for your projects, Kristi,” don’t worry…these featured posts won’t start taking the place of my own original posts and projects.  It’s down to crunch time on getting my condo finished, and I’ll be sharing every step of the way.

So I’ll start these features next week.  Can’t wait to see what you’ve been working on!

    1. One more thing, I’m sorry, but I’m not clear where these posts will appear? Will they be under the Inspiring Projects button?

  1. Hi! I have been meaning to drop you a line in response to your request for info on chicken coops. I follow a blogger in Eastern Canada that has a gorgeous coop that she built. Her name is Karen and her blog is the Art of Doing Stuff. She is very funny, creative and always working on projects like you.

On another note, I really enjoy your blogs with my morning coffee. You are very creative, driven and I enjoy your decorator eye! Looking forward to our move to the big house!
