  1. My husband would panic! Panic! As a homeschooling Mom, I think it would be fantastic!

  2. Dan and Jeannine says:

My fridge is old & in need of replacing anyways. Sure, come on up to IA! :) (You'll do it for free, right?!) ha ha!

  3. Denise Smith says:

As a clean freak, all I can see is chalk dust! I painted a Marquee in chalkboard paint for my theater-loving girls in their playroom when they were small. It wasn't too long before I painted over it…It was really much too messy for me.

  4. JulieOne says:

And I think the chalk dust gives it character! If it was clean and pristine, it'd just look like flat paint. Love the blackboard paint, chalk residue, the look, the usefulness of it all. Love it.

  5. Pregnantly Plump says:

I really like that idea! We just bought a new fridge, though. So I'm guessing that's not going to happen around here.

  6. Oh yes, that would be so fun! Except my kids are not clean and I think it would only add to their clutter piles! I literally clean all day to make my house look somewhat presentable!

  7. Jeremy and Kathleen says:

I love it! My fridge is stainless steel (looking) on the front but the sides are black. I may do a coat of chalkboard paint on them.

  8. beingzaraandzidan says:

OOOO Love the fridge. Its unique & my kids sure gonna love it! love ur blog

  9. custom cabinets says:

I think it is a lovely idea…only that with children around it may get a little messy is all that I fret.

  10. My old white fridge doesn't have a smoothe texture. It has this little squiggly line texture all over it. The chalkboard paint/chalk might look weird on the texture. What do you think?

  11. Laurie - Little Blue Chairs says:

I would totally let you do this.

  12. Kristi @ Addicted 2 Decorating says:

SG, I think it would work. I think you should go for it! This weekend!! And then report back to us! :D

  13. my mom did this to a door in her house gor the grand kids and they love it!! They also had the paint in turquoise!

  14. daisyrock says:

I don't have a fridge that it would work on but one of the the first decorating things I decided on when I bought my flat (apartment) was paint the main wall in the kitchen as a chalkboard and have everyone who visited write something on it. It's almost 4 years old now and a bit messy but I love that wall ! :)

Come on over! You can do it here in the ATL and then you can help figure out how to revamp my kitchen cabinets.
