Almost Free Artwork From Shipping Palettes

I think it’s going to be quite some time before I get tired of seeing home decor items made from reclaimed wood.  I just love the warm color and texture that it adds to a room, and the best part is that you can usually find some at no cost in the form of shipping palettes.  There are a million things you can do with them, including using the wood as a “canvas” for wall art.  Tara from Tara Being Tara demonstrates how simple it is to make inexpensive artwork.  Inspired by a piece from World Market, she created this for her own home, and it cost her a grand total of $2.99…

I’ve seen several DIY variations of the inspiration World Market artwork, all of them slightly different, and I like all of them! There’s just something about the simplicity of the colorful flowers that appeals to me.
