Interior Designer Michael Smith Chosen To Redecorate the White House

Hello all! I’ve been away for a couple of days, as I’ve been a bit under the weather. I just hate cold and flu season!!

But with the recent announcement of the Chosen One–that is, the interior designer that Michelle Obama has chosen to redecorate the White House–I simply had to get online and take a look at his work.

Michael S. Smith is quite an accomplished designer. According to his website, “He is the recipient of many prestigious awards, including Architectural Digest’s “The AD 100” in 2002 and 2004 and the Los Angeles Pacific Design Center’s West Week “Stars of Design” in 2004. He was also named 2003 Designer of the Year by Elle Decor.”

Here’s a small peek at his work.

Of course, to see full-size photos of his projects, you can visit the Michael Smith, Inc. website. For some reason, I couldn’t get most of the project portfolios to open, but the ones that I was able to see were beautiful. I can’t wait to see what he does with the White House!

Be inspired, and happy decorating!
