Let’s Make Centerpieces!

Well today is all about the Christmas table…centerpieces, table settings, place settings….

So let’s start with CENTERPIECES:

It seems that my favorite centerpieces at the holidays are those made with fruit–and especially sugared fruit.

(Wouldn’t that be gorgeous with sugared fruit!?)

Want a taller centerpiece? Try stacking two cake plates,
and top off with a footed bowl. Then fill each with sugared fruit. Stunning!

Candles with sugared fruit
For a much simpler centerpiece with the same elegance.

One note about using candles–BURN THEM! One of my biggest decorating pet peeves is seeing candles that are obviously never used (at least burn the wick!) While candles do add beauty to any room, they’re made to be burned! So stop dusting your candles, and start burning your candles. Moving on…

For some quick and easy centerpieces, try one of these:

Calla lilies with small ornaments

Do you have a long dining table? Choose one of the previous three centerpieces, and make three or five of them (depending on the length of the table), and line them down the center of your table, leaving about 12 to 18 inches between each one.
Still haven’t seen a centerpiece to inspire you? Well, hopefully one of these will…

Ornaments in jar and on candlesticks

Well, I hope you got an idea for your holiday table. If you need more, I’ll be back! Still to come today…table settings and place card ideas. Stay tuned!

I absolutely love these centrepieces. Very creative and simple to put together (well some).
