Reader Question: How Do I Paint This Ceiling?
Katie needs help with her ceiling. Ceilings can be tricky when all you have is a plain ‘ole ceiling and you have to decide on a paint color. Add in additional architectural features, and the challenge becomes even greater. Katie writes,
We are building a new home and have paint questions. Our master bedroom has a step ceiling up to 11 feet. We are wanting to paint the walls a dark bluish color (Retreat by Sherwin Williams). My question is do we paint the ceiling the same color or should we go with white?
What say you? How should Katie handle this ceiling? Wall color? White? Or perhaps something else? Share your thoughts!

Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
I think I’d like a metallic silver. Its very edgy now and modern. If your worried about the dive, always play it safe with white until you found your inspiration.
