    Hi Kristi,

I just love these Singita safari lodges!! I had a post about my Top 20 Dreamy Hotels and Lodges, and Singita Sweni & Lebombo (South Afirca), Sabora Tented Camp, and Faru-Faru (Tanzania) are tops on my list. Sasakwa Lodge is also beautiful, very Out-of-Africa.

Don't you just love the designs of these lodges?? I recently bought a book entitled "New Safari – Design, Decor, Detail" and some of the most luxurious, contemporary lodges are photographed here with detailed accounts of their design philosophy.

Thanks for the tip about that book, Jen! I’m gonna add it to my reading list.

I’m with you…I love these lodges. I just love how they’re so open, and they take full advantage of the surrounding scenery. And since I’m not at all an “outdoorsy” type of person, this is my kind of “roughing it”! :)

Wow, I was just blown away by these pics! Love the sitting area with the green chairs in Sweni lodge – what an incredible room.

Thanks for the great post, Kristi!

Azra, that one really caught my eye also. That gorgeous green against the dark walls with the fabulous wall treatment…wow! I’d love to know how they treated those walls. I think my bedroom would look scrumptious with that wall treatment!!

  5. Diane says:

I love the tub set in wood… I take baths whenever I need to relax and I think taking a bath in a tub surrounded by wood would warm up the entire wonderful experience

  6. Michael and Megan Gery says:

in the words of tina fey: “I want to go to there!” stunning. simply stunning.

  7. Sue W. says:

  8. Susan says:
