Two-Car Garage Turned Art Studio

I love to see people’s art studios, craft rooms, sewing rooms…any place where people go to let their creative juices flow. It’s so interesting to see how different people organize their supplies, and how they decorate these areas, and what items they display that inspires them personally. And of course, since I only have a tiny little condo, I always get a little jealous of people who have the luxury of dedicating an entire space to their creative endeavors.

So when I came across the photos of artist Shannon Christensen’s studio, I was amazed! She turned her two-car garage into her art studio, and it’s fantastic. Here’s a peak into her creative world:

What a wonderfully creative space! And even though some of us may not have the luxury of dedicating a whole room (or our garage) to our art or craft, we can take away some fantastic ideas from this space. Click here to see the photos and read where Shannon tells about the items she used. And to see more of her gorgeous artwork, you can visit Shannon’s Portfolio.

Be inspired, and happy decorating!

  1. Kristi,
I have a decorating vein or two in me as well. Thanks for the kinds words about my studio. I haven’t always had a wonderful space to work in. It used to be my dining room table. So, I do think everyone needs some kind of ‘me’ space for being creative. Even if it’s a decorated suitcase that you move from room to room make it yours.

  2. Decorated suitcase…lol. Oh, I feel like that’s about all I can have right now, Shannon. But I hope someday to have a wonderful space like yours! Thanks for the inspiration! 🙂

  3. Shannon, the more I look at these pics, the more inspired I become to organize my home.s I can’t believe you are so organized!s

  4. Love this!s I wish I were so fortunate as to have a space like that to work on my hobbies, but I don’t think my husband would be too keen on giving up his garage.s It’s the one place he can have that’s all his own. 😀

  5. OOH, i wish i had a space like that.I used to work outside too, but we have storms very often, so it's back to the bedroom for me. (sigh)
