Vintage China Cabinet Painted With Chalk Paint

I have yet to try Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, and though I’ve been tempted to try it, I just haven’t.  But seeing this gorgeous vintage china cabinet painted with chalk paint from French Country Cottage makes me want to rush right out and purchase some chalk paint…and a vintage china cabinet…and get right to work.  Doesn’t this look like a picture right out of a magazine?

There are plenty more details of this gorgeous china cabinet to see over at French Country Cottage.

  1. I’m shocked, shocked, shocked You haven’t tried it yet, Kristi! Me neither {wink} … but every time I see a beautiful project, I’m one step closer to giving it a try. I’ve heard that you don’t have to prime your project before painting it, but I’m wondering do you by chance know if you can use it over laminate cabinets? I’m in the midst of a big motorhome makeover and I’m debating painting the ugly faux oak laminate cabinets.

    xoxo … love your blog!

  2. i am not understanding all your details on how you did. Did you add te first color to the white paint?Put another coat of first color on? or just put white paint on? Im new to this ans need help. lol

    1. Hi Arlene- I painted a coat of chalk paint by itself first and I wasn’t super happy with the color. So I mixed a little container with the chalk paint and a bit of watered down regular paint from the hardware store to it to make a lighter gray color and then painted over the cabinet again. Does that help? 🙂
