Win A Dream Home

It’s that time of year again…the time when HGTV gives away yet another Dream Home. This year’s HGTV Dream Home is located in the Florida Keys. I took some time last night to look through the pictures, and I must say, I was a little disappointed. (Okay, am I just being hard to please lately? First I was disappointed in Ryan Seacrest’s home, and now this one.) Don’t get me wrong. It’s a gorgeous house, and I would be thrilled if I won it! But it just seems to fall a little short compared to the Dream Homes of the past years. Take a look at the pictures and tell me what YOU think:

I like the overall look and feel of this room, but I’ve just never
been a fan of using all matching furniture in a room. I personally
like a little more variety when it comes to selecting furniture.

Beautiful, for sure, but it just feels unfinished to me.

If you know me at all, then you know how I feel about window treatments.
Of course, those are doors, but they just seem to be screaming out for some
fabric! I do like the furniture they used, and the color palette is beautiful.

Overall, very nice. But again, I would not have used
so much matching furniture. Coordinating, yes….matching, no.

I love this kitchen. It feels so light and bright…and I almost
always like glass front cabinet doors.

This is my favorite room in the house. I love the horizontal stripes.

Those embroidered pillows are incredible!!

So cute. I like the canopies over the beds in the striped
fabric–has a very beach cabana feel.

What a great color! I don’t know that it’s one I would
have chosen, but I really like it.

I love this bathroom. I’m not sure how practical it is, though.
Could you imagine getting ready (and possibly sharing the space
with someone else) with that tiny little mirror??

The glass and white tiles just sparkle in the sunlight.
This bathroom is so bright and fresh feeling.

While this is a nice room, it’s definitely not what I would
expect in a master bathroom in a “dream home”.

Light, bright, sparkly, and beautiful…but again, just not
what I would expect in a “dream home” master bathroom.

Well, okay…this view would DEFINITELY make up for any
shortcomings in the house design or decor. My goodness…with a
view like this, I could live in a one room shack! How fantastic!

So that’s it…the HGTV Dream Home. Between January 1 and February 19, you can register once a day to be entered into the drawing to win the house, along with a GMC Yukon hybrid SUV. The total package is worth $2.2 million.

You may have noticed that there are no photos of the master bedroom. That’s because those photos have not been revealed yet. The Dream Home designers allowed the HGTV viewers to vote on their choice for the color palette to be used in the master bedroom. The final winning color palette, along with a view of the master bedroom, will be revealed on January 1 at 9pm E/P on HGTV during a one hour Dream Home special.

Very nice house and the view is wonderful! I can’t wait to see what the master bedroom will look like.
