Our house originally had a master bedroom, as most homes do, and I did a few projects for that room. But since then, our plans for the house changed. That original master bedroom is now being converted into a new master bathroom (you can see that project here), and Matt and I are using the guest bedroom as our main bedroom (you can see the guest bedroom here). The other bedroom (this house originally had three bedrooms) is being converted into our home gym (you can see that room here). That means that at the moment, not only do we not have a master bedroom remodel in progress, but we don’t even have a master bedroom at all.

In the very near future, we plan to build an addition onto the back of our house, and that addition will include a new family room/media room, a laundry room, and a new master bedroom. (You can see the original floor plan, current floor plan, and future floor plan here.)

So the posts that you will find below are about the original master bedroom, which is no longer a bedroom, and is being converted into a master bathroom. But I did do a few interesting DIY projects for that room, like build a platform bed, build a matching headboard, and make a flower light out of window film.

In the future, you will find more master bedroom posts here, but that will be after we’ve built our addition, and the master bedroom will be a completely different room from the one you’ll find in the posts below.

*Please note that these posts are listed in reverse chronological order, so you have to scroll down to the bottom of this page to find the very first post I wrote about the music room remodel, and to see the project from the beginning.
