The Countdown Is On, The Goal Date Has Been Set

I have butterflies in my stomach as I type this, because we finally have a tentative date for when we’ll be in our new house and put this condo on the market!!!

That wonderful, magical date is July 1st. That’s only seventy days away!!!

Oh my goodness, I have so much to do. I definitely need to finish the living room, since that’s the first room people will see when they walk in. First impressions are crucial!! And it’s current condition would certainly not impress anyone…

😀  Wow, I can’t believe I just showed y’all my living room like that.  Embarrassing.  But real.  And that gives you a very clear and realistic view of just how much I have to do…in this room.

Then I need to finish up some projects in the bedroom.  I won’t show you that, mostly because I don’t want to be reminded of the unfinished projects just yet.  My tummy is already feeling nervous enough without being reminded of the details.  🙂

Then that leaves the second bathroom and the second bedroom.  I probably won’t go overboard with those rooms.  Just a coat of paint on the walls and the bathroom cabinets.  Perhaps a new mirror in the bathroom, as well as a new light (that bathroom also has one of those cheap 1970’s lights).

But the countdown is on.  It’s time for me to really buckle down, get serious about my time management, and get this place finished!

And it might be necessary for me to finally admit that I can’t do it all on my own.  Yep, I might actually need to call in reinforcements.  Maybe.  🙂  But I won’t make a decision on that just yet.

For now, I just need to get busy!!

  3. Nothing like a deadline to get projects finished! But, sometimes our best ideas come under the stress. As mentioned, remember to keep it simple for now and save the good stuff for the new home. 😀

  4. Such wonderful news! Exciting and stressful at the same time. I’m sure you will do your best, get some help, it will be worth it. We all need it somtimes….

  5. So excited! Can’t imagine the stress (although mostly it’s the ‘good’ kind), but it will be worth it when you can move into your new place!

  6. Great news! Nothing wrong with getting some help. Can’t wait to see the condo all “spiffed” up for sale and then your new house and all its possibilities.

  7. We all need some help sometimes…you will be so busy, I’d call in reinforcements for the big parts at least. Are you sure you want to build in cabinets if you are selling? I am wondering because not everyone might want them and it could save you time…just a thought. All your projects come out so beautifully, I am sure people would like it, but some might want the open floor more, just a thought. Anyway, I’m so excited for you!

  8. How exciting! You already have your new home picked out? Yippie! Sounds like you have a lot of plans for the condo – I’m sure people will love it! Have fun and please continue sharing! Hugs, Leena

It’s OK to ask for help. Really.

  13. Take a deep breath – it really helps. Stress only keeps you from enjoying your goals, so have as much faith in your capabilities as we do, and you’ll be fine. You did your bath in 20 days! And I know that was a LOT of work. We’re rooting for you!

  14. Go girl! You can do it. i echo Jennifer in keeping it simple. The new buyers may come in and want to redo things anyhow. You will want to expend your energy (and $$) on your new house.

  15. Congrats, Kristi. good luck and inspiration for all this preparing stuff. I’m sure that condo is already in fine condition. I’m more excited about your new house future projects. Love everything you do and I’m big fun of you!!!
