Welcome to the New Addicted 2 Decorating!!

Well, it’s been a long process, but the Addicted 2 Decorating redesign is finally (almost) complete! Oh sure, if you dig around enough, you’ll still find pages that aren’t transferred yet. It’ll be a few more days before it’s all really complete. But in the meantime, feel free to poke around and get a feel for the new layout.

The whole idea behind this redesign was to make everything much more accessible and streamlined. I posted a few highlights a few weeks back, but here’s a refresher for those who missed it.

With the new layout, all of the info in the A2D blog and website is just a click (or two) away on the new streamlined menu at the top.

And each section of the menu has a drop-down menu, to make navigation even that much easier!

Menu options under “A2D Blog”.

Menu options under “DIY Projects”.

And probably my favorite menu item of all is the Complete Room Designs section, where all of my DIY rooms will be featured.

Right now, the only room listed is John & Alice’s master bedroom, but I am working on adding pages for my kitchen, my breakfast room, Gwen’s master bathroom, Gwen’s master bedroom, and John & Alice’s master bathroom.  Then I’ll continue to add pages as I complete future DIY rooms.

On those individual room pages, there are sections for before pictures, after pictures, budget breakdown, resources, related diy projects, and related blog posts.  The before pictures section and the after pictures section have little thumbnails of each of the pictures, that you can click on to see the larger pictures.

Pay no attention to the capitalized and double underlined word “Photo”.
This is a screenshot from my computer, which obviously has spyware on it.

So those are the highlights.  Like I said, if you dig around enough, you’re sure to come across a few pages that haven’t been transferred to the new format yet.  There’s still a bit of work to do.   But what an improvement, huh?  From dull, drab, and unorganized…

…to colorful and streamlined.  So much better!!

Looks fantabulous, Kristi! You know how they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery? Well, I hope you'll bear that in mind if I steal your new format for my own blog. 🙂

My Congratulations to the redesign, Kristi.
I visit your blog on a regular basis, even I do not always leave a comment. I follow my own rule of "If you don't have anything meaningful to say, better keep your mouth shut".
Your blog has grown quite a bit and so it is really important to provide a user navigation as easy as possible. The menu you decided for, looks just perfect to me. I bet it's a lot of work but the reward will be even more followers and fans and hopefully even more sponsors. The design, the color scheme and the layout of your blog is really inviting to stay and read and read and read.
    Good job!
    Best Regards
