Our breakfast room was originally a large room that the previous owners called a den. Since the room was 12 feet wide and 24 feet long, I decided to build a wall to separate the back section to create a 7′ x 12′ walk-in pantry. Then I turned the front part of the room into a breakfast room.

The room is temporarily being used as a sitting room, which is overall more useful to Matt (my husband who has M.S.) so that he can have a comfortable place to sit and spend a good deal of time each day. But as soon as we can build our addition onto the back of the house, which will include a new family room/media room, this room will be turned back into a breakfast room with a dining table and chairs.
