If you have a small kitchen and find yourself with a lack of storage, Mallory at Classy Clutter just might have the perfect solution for you. She built, from scratch, a roll out canned food storage shelving unit. What a brilliant use of that small sliver of space beside the refrigerator!

Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.

May 18, 2012 at 11:50 amI’m actually doing something similar to this with a pair of those ‘generic oak’ bathroom wall cabinets – you know the ones – with two doors and shelves behind and an open shelf area on the bottom – though mine are upside down and that’s the top now. LOL They’re not as deep as the fridge but they’re perfect for my needs.

May 18, 2012 at 4:13 pmWow, I love this idea! Our kitchen isn’t small, but has very little extra storage space (if that makes sense) mostly since it was designed to be very open, having lots of walkways to different parts of the first floor. This would be a great way to get it more organized!

August 1, 2012 at 10:05 amThis is such a great idea, I’ve got a similar one installed on my kitchen at the moment, but this would be perfect for other rooms as well such as bedrooms and even playrooms.

March 3, 2013 at 6:01 pmI am looking for a can storage unit that goes in the space between the refrigerator and the cabinet that is the height of the refrigerator? Know anyone who makes one?
