I love shopping at thrift stores, but to get the most for your money, you really have to be able to look past outdated and drab finishes and envision the possibilities. Heather from HeatherMade Designs did just that when she spotted side table at Goodwill for only $12.00. It had great a great shape, but the finish was looking a bit drab, so she updated the side table with some paint and a stenciled design.
Now it’s updated and beautiful! Quite a change, since it started out looking like this…

Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
