Good morning to you!! Well, I was hoping to show you the completed Great Wall of Wonderland today, but it’s not finished.
By the way, have I ever told you that Matt & I call John & Alice’s house “Wonderland”? Matt dubbed it that because that’s where Alice lives. Get it? See what he did there? 😀
Anyway, I didn’t get it finished yet because for the last few days, I’ve been at home taking care of a hubby with a sprained and very swollen ankle, and a dog who got into the trash bag and clearly ate something he shouldn’t have and has to be taken outside very often. Yeah…gross. (Such a glamorous life, am I right?)
So as I was going to bed last night, I thought, “Well, darn. I don’t have anything to share tomorrow on my blog!” But then I picked up my computer and started poking around on the how-to link party over at The Lettered Cottage, and I followed a link over to Studio Ten 25, where I saw the most wonderful office ever!! So I must share this with you. Forgive me if you’ve seen it before. Sometimes I feel so out-of-the-loop because I don’t have time to read tons of blogs (**pouty face**). But this was my first time seeing it.

I think I actually gasped audibly when I saw this picture. It’s perfect! PERFECTION!! |

Perfectly feminine without being too frilly. I love it. I’d love to go to work in this office every day! |

Gorgeous windows letting in gorgeous sunlight. And I love how she carried the fabric from the lamp shade over to…. |

…the back of the bookcase. |
In fact, it was Abbe’s tutorial on how to add fabric to the back of bookshelves that initially caught my eye. Well, okay…it was the fabric she used. I needed to see more if it and find out where she got it!!
I hope you enjoyed that little tour as much as I did. I’m so anxious to get started on my own little office!! Too bad I have about a thousand projects I need to finish before I can even START thinking about the office.
Back to reality.

Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
I hope you’ll join me on my DIY and decorating journey! If you want to follow my projects and progress, you can subscribe below and have each new post delivered to your email inbox. That way you’ll never miss a thing!

February 23, 2011 at 3:36 pmWhat really stuns me is that really is Abbe's studio. She must be SO organized. My office looks like the morning after a party at a frat house for raccoons.

February 23, 2011 at 5:52 pmSorry to hear about Matt and your dog. I have been there with one of our dogs. Twice he has defied death! Once he ate 2 lbs of raw ground beef and the other time he got into a box of chocolates with liquor in them. Nothing like having a drunk dog! Oh that was awful.

February 24, 2011 at 12:45 amFantastic find! I just painted my office a similar blue gray shade (SW North Star) last week and am putting a red slipper chair in it as well. These photos are great inspiration! Thanks!

February 24, 2011 at 4:15 pmI just got some of that fabric in another colorway! It's called Dogwood and it's in the Timber Line by Jessica Levitt. The sad news is that it's getting super hard to find! 🙁 A couple of fabric shops on Etsy carry it and you can check FabricWorm, Hawthorne Threads, or Fabric.com.
This is a beautiful office! I'm saving the post for inspiration! 🙂
