Fabric Options For My Bedroom…Again!!
Okay, I know I just shared some fabric options for my bedroom a few days ago, but ever since I found Fabric.com the other day, I haven’t been able to stop searching for fabrics!! Seriously, why did nobody tell me about this website before?! It’s incredible!! I’m talking about decorator fabric for as low as $4/yard. Really, if you haven’t checked it out yet, you really need to. (And no, they’re not paying me to say that. I don’t do those kinds of posts. I just really, sincerely like the website.)
So first, let me remind you of the inspiration room that I absolutely love:
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find that fabric, or anything like it. But I think I’ve found a few really great alternatives to go with my new chocolate brown bedding. And I’m still not sure exactly what I’m going to do with this fabric. I could use it as draperies on the one lone window. I could use it as a duvet cover, with the chocolate brown quilt folded at the foot of the bed, or I could use it on a headboard. I’m just not sure, but I do know that I need a starting point. So whichever fabric I select will be my starting point, and from it, I’ll pull out a wall color and accent colors.
Tell me what you think!
Option 1–Waverly Harmony Spa, $16.98/yard, Polyester/Rayon |
Fabric 2–Waverly Small Talk Mint Julep, $13.98/yard, 100% cotton |
Option 3–Bryant Brava Lime, $8.98/yard, 100% polyester |
Option 4–Richloom Coventry Spa, $8.98/yard, 100% polyester |
I’ve created this handy little poll so that you can give me your opinion:
Thanks for your input! Hope you have a great weekend!
Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
I love option 1. #2 looks a little junior and 3 & 4 just look too busy! I can't wait to see your room when you're done, I'm sure it'll be beautiful!
I love fabric.com. I can't believe that you just found it. When we moved into our new home a few months ago I was on that site for hours at a time! I vote for option #1.

of course we all chose the most expensive fabric. lol. Sorry Kristi, but I love #1!
#1 looks most like your inspiration photo as far as color and tone goes. So #1 gets my vote!
Cracks me up that once I voted my top two choices were the top two of others… HMMMM you got a couple of good ones there Kristi
C'mon guys! The second one has little birds on it!
love the first one, very close to the inspiration (which is awe inspiring)…just had a client choose that wall color before I came in and we were thinking silver and cream, but ooh, you may have changed my mind
Kristi, I love Fabric.com.Its the only place I buy Fabric. It is exceptional quality and fab prices. I like your chocalate bedding, but with only one window I wouls use a fabric witha lighter background and the quilt folded at the foot . love your blog and read it every day although this is my first time to comment. you inspire me . Mary
I am a fan of option two. The fabric has a nice brightness that other ones do not have.
First off the colors of the room are great and blend well together…
Now, is the bed made of some sort of brown bamboo? I really like it!
Ok, so I am all for option 3 – Bryant Brava Lime….
I was very pleased that I came across your page and learned something very essential about decorating fabrics which I'm actually in searched for. Thanks for your article that is very much useful and productive.
