Cindy — a fellow decorating addict! A good friend (who is an incredible artist) of mine has made floorcloths and she uses canvas, but primes it with gesso first to make it stiff and then after the image is painted on, she laquers it a ton of times to make it durable. Haven't made one myself, but I'm planning on attempting one for our newly purchased (very humble) cottage. PS…LOVE the blog. [email protected]

Flattered by the re-post. Wish I could take all the credit but I have an incredible painter ( and friend ) named Katherine Lovell from Barrington RI who did the painting.

Hey Kristi! I posted on a page earlier about the flooring because i personally work with a company that does flooring, and in the research i am doing i have found posts that i feel i needed to connect with and share with others. The hand-painted floor cloth you chose is very interesting, did you ever finish your version or inspired version of it? Please post! Thank you for your time, I’m glad I ran into this =)
