It’s Granite Day!
Oh, happy day! It’s granite day at John & Alice’s house!! I’m so excited to see those countertops installed. We’ve already made huge strides in updating this kitchen…
The cabinets…painted. The backsplash…gone. The laminate countertops…outta there.
Aaahhhh…isn’t the white like a breath of fresh air? I love how light and bright it is, especially compared to the heavy, orange-brown oak that it used to be.
So today, the granite goes in. Tomorrow, the backsplash goes in. Thursday, the plumbing goes in. I love progress!!

The cabinets are SO much better! Out of curiosity, when you tear up tile like you did on the backsplash and the condition of it is what it is in the photo in this post – what do you do to prepare that surface before laying more tile? Sand it down? Putty it up? I'm not saying my entire kitchen floor is in that state right now, but… It might be.
The white looks great, can't wait to see the finished product!
