Jasmin from My Little House Design found this tufted ottoman hiding in the corner of a thrift shop, and snatched it for $25. At first she contemplated reupholstering it, but since the fabric was only faded and otherwise in good shape, she decided to paint the fabric on the ottoman instead of reupholstering it The results of her painted fabric ottoman are great, and she says that the process was also really easy.
Looks great, right? Here’s how it looked before she painted it…
The whole thing — ottoman plus the materials to paint the fabric — ended up costing about $50. Amazing considering that tufted ottomans generally start at $300, and go up from there!

Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
