Small Budget Laundry Room Makeover
Need some laundry room makeover inspiration? Well, Krista at The Happy Housie has loads of it for you! She took her glorified dark boring hallyway of a laundry/mud room, and turned it into a bright and cheery laundry room/mud room that might even make doing laundry tolerable!
Isn’t that one of the most cheerful rooms you’ve ever seen?
They installed horizontal paneling, painted, made DIY chalk-finish paint in turquoise for their cabinetry and back door, and installed a DIY countertop and shelf for extra storage and function. Some simple no-sew curtain panels now conceal the washer and dryer and pretty storage containers and DIY art make the room a place that they now want to spend time in, rather than avoid.
And they did all of this for a grand total of $340! Amazing!
Quite remarkable, especially on that budget, and especially considering that it started out like this:

Very cheerful laundry room! I love it and I love that it was inexpensive. Great job!
Very cool, especially the two rows of hooks! When it comes to small spaces like laundry rooms and closets, it’s all about building up 🙂
