A Peak At A La Mode
Sometimes I like following rabbit trails online to see where I end up. I did this last night, and was delighted at what I found.
It all started on Facebook, where Tip Junkie posted a decorative garage door opener cover (that I hope to use to cover my thermostat) from My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia. While I was there, I decided to poke around a bit, and I came across the most wonderful home tour from A La Mode. Are you familiar with this blog? I was new to me, and I’m so glad I came across it!! Take a look at these gorgeous rooms…
Beautiful living room! I love that striped sofa.
Awww…I used to have a tiny little pew like that, and I sold it. I could kick myself for that!!
I love the mix of seating around the table.
The breakfast area also has a beautiful mix of seating. This look is definitely a favorite of mine.
What a beautiful and inviting master bedroom!! The wall color is gorgeous.
And once again, the nursery is my favorite. I love the colors.
And last, a beautiful home office with pretty feminine touches throughout.
Isn’t that a beautiful home?! Want to see more? Of course you do! There are many more pictures at A La Mode.
Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
LOVE THE STRIPED SOFA and the whole room just gorgeous and inviting. Do you know what wall colour of the bedroom LOVE it
Thanks Kristi! I'm honored you shared my home and blog! Stay tuned, more rooms to come soon =) xoxo, Shelli from a' la mode
MMMMM I could be happy there….
The master's bedroom is really inviting! I can cozy up all day if I have that kind of room.So relaxing.
Wow, absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for sharing your decorating pics!!! I need to start studying your site. I always try hard to decorate and have what I think to be "good ideas," but when everything is finished, it doesn't look like what I had in mind! My home always looks "lived in," never so great that you hate to sit on the furniture. I'd like that look, but my family likes comfort over "gorgeous." I'm sure gorgeous can mean comfort too, but my ideas never turn out that way!
The best decor ideas I have involve my Scentsy products from my blog. My house may not look like a decorator lives there, but it smells fabulous!
I can't wait, I have a guest room that could use some of your help. I need to repaint over a faux finish gone bad, that was left from the previous owners. I have been putting it off because I really don't know what to do with it. It is small, has a queen size bed, a bookshelf, an Oak finished piano and a double window with an incredible view of the backyard. Any ideas?? I would like it to look larger rather than smaller.
