Bedroom Foyer Progress (Plus, Guess Who’s Back! Jonathon G. Wells Is Back)
Well, I said that I would show you the bedroom foyer progress today, and while I spent hours working yesterday, you can’t really tell a whole lot of difference in the photos. I always forget how long the whole process of sanding the wood filler and caulking takes. Those are big, important steps that obviously have to be done before I can paint, but they’re not really the kind of thing that make a whole lot of impact in photos.
But regardless, here’s what the bedroom foyer looks like as of this morning. It dawned on me yesterday as I was working that I can’t keep the doors on this bathroom (which will be a storage closet) painted teal. These will have to be painted, and white seems like the obvious color since all of the other doors in the bedroom are painted white. That’s going to be quite a change! I don’t think these doors have ever been white.
Way back when I did the original bathroom remodel, I painted those doors black.
And then I think it was a couple of years later that I decided to change them to teal. And they’ve been teal ever since.
So painting those doors white will be a big change, but it’s obviously the only color that makes sense.
And I have to tell you that after all of that indecision on how to finish out the doorway to the walk-in closet and fretting over how it would look to have this doorway be different from all of the others in the house, I am absolutely thrilled with how this looks. I just love how that trim looks wrapped around the door jambs.
Since it was going to be different, I wanted it to be obviously different, which is why I didn’t want to use any kind of standard or modified door casings around the opening. I wanted it to look very obviously intentional, and I’m very pleased with how it looks with the other two doorways in the foyer.
So that’s all of the progress so far. As I said, it’s not a huge difference from how it looked the last time I showed you, but I promise, lots of progress has been made!
I have more caulking to finish, and then I hope to get everything in the foyer painted by the end of the weekend. That might be an ambitious goal, but I’m going to try my hardest. I’m ready to move on to the bedroom trim!
And yes, it probably makes more sense to do all of the trim in the whole area, including the bedroom, before doing any painting. But when have I ever done anything in the right order? 😀 And I really need to see something finished very soon to keep me motivated. But I could always change my mind, also. Maybe I’ll decide to do the logical thing and finish all of the trim before I start any of the painting, but I wouldn’t count on it if I were you. 😀
And on another topic, Jonathon G. Wells is back. Remember him? I wrote a whole post about him because he’s a lunatic, in my humble opinion, and since he’s a business owner who presumably goes into clients’ homes, I thought people should know what kind of person he is. It’s been a while, but he has reared his ugly head again.
I’ve blocked him on all social media, and I blocked him from sending messages to my phone, but I guess I didn’t realize that he can still send me voicemails. And that’s what he did. I’m sharing this publicly because he made outright threats this time, and I want this information to be very public because seriously, if anything happens to me, to Matt, to any of our animals, to our house or property, etc., I want thousands of people to know who to point the finger to immediately. And while I got sidetracked last time and didn’t take out a restraining order against him, I won’t fail to do so this time.
So last night, I realized that it had been a few days since I listened to my voice messages. I don’t answer phone calls unless it’s someone I know personally, and I almost never listen to voicemail because they’re never important. So imagine my shock when I got this voicemail from Jonathon G. Wells:
Yes, Kristi, it’s Jonathon Wells. It is about 4:30 in the morning. I have been made aware of your egregious post. My attorney has already been contacted. Take it down by 9:00am this morning or you will not be happy with the outcome. And that is a THREAT. I’ve already contacted the Waco police department. I have contacted others. You have no authorization to use any of the screen captures or any of the commentary that you have made. Completely inappropriate. You are unhinged. You are unwell. I simply mentioned “dust” on your ridiculous post gluing Christmas ornaments to your bathroom ceiling. You are a fat, ugly, disgusting c*nt. I am not playing now. I am serious. I thought that perhaps you had wised up and removed everything and let it go. Cleary you didn’t. You’re a sick piece of f*ck. Now take it down by 9:00am. That’s my final warning.
Let’s all take a second and laugh at the absurdity of him saying that I don’t have the authorization to use screen captures of his website where he used pictures stolen from other designers for his portfolio. 🤣🤣 So he can steal other designers’ pictures and put them in his portfolio, but I can’t take screenshots of his website. That’s rich. And absurd.
But then I came across three emails that I had missed from him.
The first one was sent at 3:33am on Monday, September 15th.
Subject: FAT C*NT – TAKE THIS DOWN IMMEDIATELY. ALL OF IT. EVERY UNAUTHORIZED SCREEN CAPTURE. EVERY COMMENT. EVERY LITTLE BIT. EVERY MENTION OF MY NAME AND COMPANY. IMMEDIATELY. I WILL COME TO WACO, YOU FAT UGLY C*NT. DON’T PLAY WITH ME ANY MORE.
The text of the mail was just screenshots of text messages that he had tried to send me.
The second one was sent at 3:37am on Monday, September 15th.

The text of the email said:
Get ready. To lose everything. All of it. Every last cent you have. This lunatic is ON. You Fat, Ugly, Dusty C*nt.
The third one was sent at 4:21am on Monday, September 15th.
Subject: FAT C*NT – TAKE THIS DOWN IMMEDIATELY. ALL OF IT. EVERY UNAUTHORIZED SCREEN CAPTURE. EVERY COMMENT. EVERY LITTLE BIT. EVERY MENTION OF MY NAME AND COMPANY. IMMEDIATELY. I WILL COME TO WACO, YOU FAT UGLY C*NT. DON’T PLAY WITH ME ANY MORE.
The text of the email said:
I HAVE YOUR HOME ADDRESS. YOUR HUSBAND’S WORK ADDRESS. I HAVE ALL OF YOUR INFORMATION. YOU SHOULD BE VERY VERY AFRAID. AFTER ALL, I AM A LUNATIC, RIGHT? BC I COMMENTED “DUST” ON YOUR POST. STALKER.
For the record, I’d be very interested to know Matt’s work address. 🤣 Anyway, I will be taking action this time, no question. These days, when someone says they have your address and make outright threats, that has to be taken seriously. Jonathon G. Wells is unhinged. And again, I want this information out there because if something nefarious happens to me, Matt, our animals, or our property, I want thousands of people to know immediately where to point the finger.

Oh Kristie, I am so sorry you are having to go through this. I am so fed up with people who think they are WAAYY more important than they are. Keep you head on a swivel and be sure to get that restraining order. We have gone way to long letting people get away with their lunatic threats.

Was going to get started on our master bedroom wainscoting since I can reach almost all of it without it being too much of a furniture rodeo, but my fantastic mother-in-law is now in hospice care and we are all just waiting, praying, crying, remembering and coming to the hard realization that a limb off of our Tree of Life is going to leave us soon. Hug everyone you love today. Don’t let that moron take up too much of the space in your head, karma, it does work.

I find it telling that those who feel powerless often resort to threatening lawsuits or demanding action. Unless there is an actual court order, their words are just noise. Focus on what you can control. File the restraining order so there is proper documentation, prioritize your well being, and tune out the unnecessary drama. You are incredible and truly original, and you do not have to waste your time or energy suffering fools like him.
Obviously we don’t know who this is. Whoever it is, needs to go back to school or quit trying to type drunk. Spelling and grammar are atrocious!
Please call the Waco police and ask them to send an officer to the house. Have everything downloaded to a disk or flash drive for him/her if possible. Explain the situation.
Considering what he said about Matt’s workplace, I think there is alot of BS coming from him/her. The whole website could be spoofed just to troll you. Law enforcement has tools that can determine where this is coming from. My late hubs was a LEO for 29 years and I learned alot from him just telling me about cases.
Wow! This guy is very obviously deranged. Yes, definitely turn everything over to the police. I do have to laugh, though. Fowl language? Did you call him a dumbcluck? Use eggceptionally bad language? Tell him to go cluck himself? At any rate, this guy needs to be locked up somewhere.

Yep, time to get the police involved. Although, since he said he knew where your husband worked, it may be that he is just a nut frothing at the mouth. But his location can be traced and it’s time. So sorry you have to deal with this, Kristi, but this is truly serious. Take care.
As someone who was stalked, and whose ex is an attorney, my advice would be: stop making your case on the internet. Speak with the police, and speak with a real attorney.
This has gone way beyond tiresome banter between two people. If you put yourself in the position of a third person you’re asking to “get up to speed,” it’s a lot to go from A. How it Started, to H. Where it is Now. You risk fatiguing the third party with too much homework, which leads to apathy, and ultimately, nothing resolved.
Make a timeline even an infant could follow to avoid fatique-and-apathy, and get real assistance from a qualified third party. Nobody wants to see anything happen to you, Matt, your home, etc., because this guy made good on any of his threats.
Agreed, a succinct summary and sensible timeline with a separate file documenting Facebook posts, texts, other messages, and emails running chronologically from earliest to latest (latest on top) is a must.
Im so sorry this has happened. I hope your Friday has been spent getting a restraining order and installing cameras if you don’t have any. I wouldn’t share info on here if you do the cameras other than you have security in place. That isn’t info he needs to be able to see.

I am sure everyone is saying this, but please, please contact police over this. I have been following you for so so many years and I feel I know you and your wonderful sweet disposition. This person is unhinged and crazy people do crazy things.

I CANNOT believe that man has started in on you again! Is he referring to all the junk that went on previously? And he’s bringing it to the forefront AGAIN? What a LOON! But you are so right that you need to take action to protect you and yours! And seriously, if something WERE to happen, how would we know? Do your extended family members have the ability to let us know, so we could give statements or help in some way? With the amount of craziness that has happened in this country lately, you never do know if someone will do what they are saying. or worse! This is my main reason for not getting involved in political or religious comments. It seems that they can find you somehow, and do things to make your life unbearable. OMG! Not again. Too bad he can’t spell either. If you are going to threaten someone, at least spell it correctly! A businessman? I wonder if he talks to his customers like that, if not, they should know what kind of man he is or they are dealing with. Definitely call the police and print out everything and give it to them. Get a restraining order and try to get his attorney’s name. Cover yourself everyway possible so that the authorities can take action. We got scammed out of a lot of money. I printed everything possible and gave it to the secret service, FBI and wire fraud department. The people were caught, put in jail, and are still there. I got none of my money back and I should have known better in the first place because it was such an odd transaction. But still, we certainly could not afford to lose any money at all at our stage of life. My husband is in a wheelchair also and we are 78.
That guy is weird. In today’s world, one can’t trust that insane people won’t follow through on threats. Get a gun and keep it loaded.

Please file a police report immediately and have a security system (especially cameras !!!) installed covering every inch of your property if you don’t have that already. I am very, very sorry you’re going through this. Prayers for a peaceful and permanent outcome.

Why give this person’s comments the time of day? That is exactly what the person wants. Just delete them like they don’t exist instead of making a big deal over them.

I am so sorry you have to deal with Wells, yikes. Your paneling looks great and good progress on the prep work –so important and so boring!
I left a previous comment on an older post that noted my own research. I don’t believe this individual actually has an operating business at this point, at least not any business I could find registered in Illinois or Michigan, the two states where he has claimed/claims/once claimed to be located. You would think, if he wanted you to believe he’s serious about court action, he would have the sense to refrain from issuing personal threats within his threats of legal action, but he’s too bonkers to figure out no judge would take anything he says seriously while he’s calling you foul names and using streams of profanity. You must report all of his actions to the police and demand his threats also be reported to the FBI (this is interstate threat activity). Since he can’t spell or distinguish between homonyms (foul/fowl), one suspects he’s using AI to generate messages. I still suspect he’s actually a bot using a name previously attached to a legit business. Use your email provider’s tools to locate and divert any emails from that name into a folder you can maintain and occasionally peruse, and see if you can flag all texts and phone messages from him to segregate them without having to unblock him.
I would suggest that you lock your vehicles in the garage when you are not using them, in case he does come down and decides to use the vehicles to harm y’all. Please think carefully about extending a security system to the garage and workshop. Finally, I would also suggest securing your crawl spaces under the house. Take care of yourselves!
