Faux Carrera Marble
It’s not often that I’m impressed with faux painting techniques, but when I saw this faux Carrera marble by Danika of Gorgeous Shiny Things, I had to do a double take, because it look so real! She’s even kind enough to share her technique in a “how to” video.
See more pictures and a fantastic tutorial video at Gorgeous Shiny Things. (And you won’t want to miss the “before” pictures of her countertop and backsplash!!)
Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
Wow it is nice – maybe I will do a backsplash with it – is it heavy and is it expensive? By the way I sort of found a solution to my wood problem. I still wish you guys lived a little (like about a thousand miles) closer for more reasons than one;0)
WOW, that is realy cool and you are right it looks real. :o)
The carrera marble tiles give bathrooms give a smooth and sparkling look. some tiles are of so reflective that you even can see yourself in them. Thanks for sharing.
