Today’s inspiring designs come from Chicago designer Summer Thornton. Summer is actually the designer of one of my all-time favorite rooms. Let’s see if you know me well enough to know which one it is!
I love the use of an elegant chandelier in a living room. It’s not something I get to see (or use) very often here in Texas, where everyone uses ceiling fans.
A beautiful mix of furniture, and the draperies are gorgeous!
I don’t think I ever would have put these chairs together, but I think they look fabulous! And the arrangement of artwork is really nice.
Just…wow.
It’s really not often that a neutral, monochromatic room catches my eye, but I think this one is so beautiful. The mix of patterns and textures is so inviting.
For a long time now, I’ve wanted to design a room with wallpapered panels, and I really like how a wallpapered panel is used in lieu of a headboard in this room.
Okay, I’m fairly certain that it’s obvious which one is my favorite. That teal headboard is just incredible!

Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
I hope you’ll join me on my DIY and decorating journey! If you want to follow my projects and progress, you can subscribe below and have each new post delivered to your email inbox. That way you’ll never miss a thing!

I think I like the neutral bedroom best, but mostly because of the windows. I love lots of windows.
