You’ve heard of Tobi Fairley, right? Well, if not, then you’d probably recognize some of her designs. She’s been published many times in House Beautiful, Southern Living, Traditional Home, and many other publications.
Her style is unmistakable…traditional, mixed with bold patterns and colors, with contemporary touches, all perfectly combined to create a Tobi Fairley design. Somehow, I never get tired of seeing her rooms! Even the ones that have been circulating around the blogosphere for a long time now…years perhaps…still look fresh and new every time I see them.
Here are some of my favorites…
I love a bold horizontal stripe!
This room in the Energy House is probably my all-time favorite room designed by Tobi. The colors are so fresh and vibrant.
Another view of the Energy House room.
I love how this kitchen was given an unexpected touch with the striped floor.
Simply gorgeous…from the fabric combinations, the built in seating, the beautiful backsplash. Perfection.
Of course, I’m drawn to these colors!
This room definitely shows the more serene side of Tobi Fairley, but even in this room you see bold pattern on the rug. I love her use of bold patterns in her designs.
And another otherwise traditional room given a shot of bold pattern and color.
Wait…no, THIS is my absolute favorite Tobi Fairley room. I love every detail about it, from the texture on the rug, the pattern and color on the chair, the monogrammed pillows. I want this room!!
And of course I had to include this room. Sure, you’ve seen it. You’ve seen it here on A2D, and you’ve seen it a thousand other places. But it doesn’t get old, does it?
There are plenty of other rooms to see on the Tobi Fairley Interior Design website. Tobi also has a blog, which you can see here. And did you know that she also teaches classes on design? Yep, it’s true. It’s called Design Camp, and you can learn all about it right here.
So did you see anything that inspired you? Do you have a favorite Tobi Fairley room that I didn’t show here?
