Jute-Wrapped Chandelier Progress
I’m almost finished with the jute-wrapped chandelier for John & Alice’s bathroom. When I left there yesterday evening, this is what it looked like…
No, the blue tape isn’t a creative touch I decided to add. I just forgot to take some adhesive to finish off the ends of the jute.
As you can see, I opted for a “less is more” approach with the jute. I wanted to bring a touch of green over to that side of the room, so I painted the chandelier with Rustoleum Painter’s Touch in Oregano, and then added the jute just to the arms and the little ring on the very bottom. I originally added jute to more parts of the center piece, but decided to remove it. It was just looking too busy.
I really like this edited version, and I like that it shows more of the green. I’m show you the sans-painters-tape version next week, when I show the (FINALLY) finished bathroom!!
UPDATE: The chandelier is finished! Here’s how it looks without the blue paint…
Psstt…This bathroom is finished now! Want to see the completed bathroom makeover? Click here to see the whole before and after.
Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
