The last couple of weekends have been so incredibly productive for me. I established my goal, and then either made tremendous progress towards my goal, or met my goal completely.
Why the sudden change? Why this streak of productivity? I honestly think it’s because of YOU…my blog readers. Those of you who visit each day are such an inspiration to me, and when I tell you I’m going to work on something, I not only feel a sense of accountability, but I also feel an excitement about sharing the outcome with you.
But as you know, I have many, many, MANY projects in the works, and while I’d like to think it’s possible for me to share a completed project each Monday, I know that the reality is that I just don’t work that fast. But I LOVE sharing my progress, and the accountability and encouragement I get from you really spurs me on to finish my projects.
So I got to thinking. Why should I be the only one benefiting from this encouragement? I shouldn’t! So starting next Monday, October 26th, I’m starting Progress Report Monday.
Do you have a big project in the works? Share your progress with us!! And in reality, it doesn’t matter how big or small the project is. Whether you’re remodeling your entire house, or whether you’ve just been procrastinating on organizing your recipes, it doesn’t matter. The point is, we just need to encourage one another, and cheer each other on toward our goals (and we’ll probably learn quite a bit from each other along the way).
So here’s how this will work:
Stop by on Friday, and tell us what project you’re working on. (That’s the accountabilty part.) Then drop back by on Monday and post a link to your blog or photos showing your progress! (That’s the rewarding part!) And then we’ll cheer you on towards the finish line. And of course, when you finish your project, we’ll all celebrate with you!
So let’s start making those “to do” lists and prioritize those projects!!
Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
