Remember Bailey’s Virtual Room (re)Design that I showed you a few days ago?

I spent the whole day yesterday helping Bailey and her mom, Cassandra, with a couple of projects.
First was the slipcover for the KLOBO loveseat from Ikea. All I did yesterday was get everything pinned. I still have to sew it together.
It just looks like a big ‘ole mess right now, huh? It’ll be much nicer once it’s sewn together and flipped right side out.
Then we worked on Bailey’s headboard. I had suggested something big, upholstered, and white.

We opted for a diamond tufted headboard in a white shantung-type fabric with a beautiful arched top. We didn’t get it completely finished, but here’s a peek at our progress:
I can’t wait to see this headboard finished! I left Bailey and Cassandra to the task, and I know they’ll do a fantastic job!
But here’s my favorite thing in the room. I had suggested a large tree mural on one wall, accented with three-dimensional wallflowers from Umbra.

Well, Bailey drew the tree…herself…freehand. And the flowers were the icing on the cake. It looks amazing!!
And as you can see, they decided on a rich turquoise for the walls. Isn’t that scrumptious?! I can’t wait to see that white headboard against the gorgeous turquoise walls.
Wow…what an exhausting day, but we made some really great progress!

Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
