On the Agenda For Today:: Transforming Gwen’s Dresser and Chest of Drawers
I have a big project ahead of me today!
I’m going to transform Gwen’s dresser…
and her chest of drawers…
into something fresh and new, using…
…liquid sander/deglosser, spray primer, heirloom white spray paint, black spray paint, English Chestnut wood stain, polyurethane, some leftover sample paints in two shades of brown, my electric sander, painter’s tape, and a few other tools and supplies.
Any ideas what I’m up to? 🙂
Check back tomorrow and I’ll show you the progress!
And if you’ve missed what I’ve done on Gwen’s bedroom and bathroom so far, you can check it out here:
- Bedroom “before” and initial design plan
- New wall color, headboard, and window shades
- Painted bathroom cabinets
Have a blessed day!
Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
This is helpful information for me. After twenty years I too want to paint my dresser and use for the guest bedroom. Now I get to see your results first. This site is packed full of information. My husband is a fomer woodshop teacher and has finally agreed but wants me to find a site with pictures and step by step intructions because he can't imagine painting wood. I can't wait to see the results.
I just used Heirloom White for a project, love it! http://lizzydesigns.blogspot.com/2010/05/spray-painted-chair.html
Exciting, I have a project just like that I need to start!
I can’t wait to see what happens, I have the same dresser (big and chunky including top) and I want to redo mine, just don’t know what into….so this will be exciting….
