As I’ve been sharing my progress on John & Alice’s master bedroom, I’ve had a few people leave comments and e-mail me to say that they weren’t really wallpaper fans, but they absolutely loved how I used it on the master bedroom walls. A couple of former anti-wallpaper readers even said that they’d like to try this look in their own homes! Yay!

So that’s got me to wondering…

Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
I hope you’ll join me on my DIY and decorating journey! If you want to follow my projects and progress, you can subscribe below and have each new post delivered to your email inbox. That way you’ll never miss a thing!

July 2, 2010 at 1:15 pmI've always loved wallpaper…in the right place. I dread when I have clients that have paper meeting paper in every room. But I am off to Lowe's to pick some for the back of open kitchen cabinets that are getting antiqued…

July 2, 2010 at 1:24 pmI love seeing wallpaper used in non-standard ways, like the back of cabinets and bookshelves. Hope you find the perfect paper!! I love to look at Sherwin Williams. They have a larger selection and they have comfy tables and chairs. My Lowe's only has a place where you have to stand to look at the books. I stood there for two hours looking through books!!

July 2, 2010 at 6:55 pmBoy, how about a choice for used to LOVE wallpaper, had it my home, used a LOT in clients home, but guess I was tired of it. I do see it used a lot again on design shows and I really do LOVE the small bit used in your current project. I just may become a fan again.

July 3, 2010 at 8:18 pmI couldn't vote, because I would have to say…I have always been in between on wall paper. I have never really hated it or loved it. If it is done right it is and always has been beautiful. If done bad, it is and always has been ugly. Love how you used it.

July 8, 2010 at 4:44 amOh Kristi! It does look great in this room. I love it in other peoples homes. Maybe I would use it to back cabinets, make art, cover hat boxes, or something creative like that. But no, I don't see me ever liking it floor to ceiling, wall to wall in my house again…. In fact my project this week is to take down the paper in the guest bath and mudd and paint the walls…then my house will be 100% wall paper free! YAY ME!!!!! Good luck witht hte guy from the Times! That is so cool!!!!
