I absolutely love writing this blog and sharing information and DIY projects with you, but sometimes as I’m writing up the DIY instructions for various projects, I can’t help but wonder if anyone ever uses these little project ideas.
So imagine how thrilled I was when a reader named Amy B. posted her DIY diamond-tufted headboard on the Addicted 2 Decorating Facebook page yesterday!! I was so excited…and proud…and amazed all at the same time. She did such an amazing job. Take a look for yourself.
Isn’t that incredible!? She made it for a friend who is moving into an apartment, so obviously it hasn’t been installed yet. But I just couldn’t wait to show you. Amy pointed out that the headboard is actually a silver/pewter color, but for some reason it shows up more gold-toned in the pic. I can’t wait to see it installed!! Thanks so much for sharing it with us, Amy! 🙂
So, you ready to make one of your own? If Amy and I can do it, you can to!! So just scoot on over to this tutorial and whip up a headboard for yourself (or a friend). And by all means, when you’re finished, send me a picture, okay?

Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
I hope you’ll join me on my DIY and decorating journey! If you want to follow my projects and progress, you can subscribe below and have each new post delivered to your email inbox. That way you’ll never miss a thing!

November 26, 2010 at 6:14 pmwow. i have just read your tutorial and then saw this post. i have been hunting the net high and low to find a tufted headboard and cant find anything that meets my expectations and fits my bank balance! im desperate for one, but wouldnt justify the price of some places! i am seriously considering giving this a try! i have a few weeks off over christmas, and will probably end up rather bored, so i might just do it! thanks so much for a great tutorial, i would never have considered the option of making one myself, and would probably have ended up paying over the odds for one! xx julie
