The Winning Coffee Table Design

Last week I told you about some old cedar fence pickets that I want to use as a coffee table, but I was needing help in the creative department.

Y’all really knocked it out of the park with your suggestions.  I was absolutely blown away by your creativity!!!  And honestly, I found some of them a bit intimidating!  Ha!  I’m honored that y’all think I’m that talented!!

So which one did I choose?  Well, I’m actually going with a combination of two different suggestions, with my own twist on the project.

My absolute favorite idea was submitted by Stacy Haugen, who showed me this amazing table on wheels.

I really love that this coffee table has weathered wood on the top, so it was easier for me to envision what mine would look like.

BUT…

Before Stacy linked this picture, someone else had already suggested a coffee table on wheels.  Yep, Casey Kiehne had linked this coffee table from Horchow with the two different sizes of wheels…

Now the fact is that wheels like that would cost a fortune.  (Yes, I’ve searched for them, and similar wheels are WAY out of my price range.)  So I’ll have to go with something a little more budget friendly, and probably all the same size.

But in the end, I’m counting both of these as winners.  My coffee table will look pretty different from these, but these two are what got the creative juices flowing for me.

So thank you, Stacy and Casey!!  You’ll both get a “thank you” gift from me…a pair of patchwork Euro shams…

Just send me an e-mail at [email protected] and tell me what colors you’d like in your pillow shams, and I’ll get them made as quickly as I can!

Thanks again, everyone, for all of your suggestions!
