Today I’m continuing with my favorites from 2010, and today…favorite before and after furniture transformation that I did this year.
I was able to makeover a handful of furniture pieces this year, but my favorite before and after would have to be Gwen’s dresser.
Do you remember what it looked like before its transformation? Let me remind you:

It was just a typical 1980s style dresser, and it looked very heavy and dark. I removed the top piece, and just used the bottom dresser piece. The new antiqued white finish did wonders in making this piece look new, and the stained top was the icing on the cake.

I love a dramatic before & after. Don’t you? So do YOU have a before and after furniture transformation that you did this year? If so, post a link in a comment. I’d love it!!

Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
I hope you’ll join me on my DIY and decorating journey! If you want to follow my projects and progress, you can subscribe below and have each new post delivered to your email inbox. That way you’ll never miss a thing!

December 21, 2010 at 9:52 pmI like this transformation a lot, Kristi, but my favorite that I've seen from you was the chest of drawers you removed the bottom trim from, added ball feet to and painted black. That was a pretty amazing before and after! My own favorite this year was an armoire-type chest that I can't link directly to because my business website sucks, but if you go to this link -http://roomscapesdecor.com/htmlver/galleries.php?galnum=3&sec=1 – it's the second photo down in the right column of thumbnails.
