The winner of the snowball wreath is…
Congrats, Diane! Please contact me at [email protected] and let me know where to send your new wreath!
Remember my winter snowball wreath?
Well, it’s been sitting just inside my front door for a week now. It has been replaced with my new spring wreath, and I have no place to store it, so I’m giving it away!
Spring doesn’t officially start until March 20th, so you’ll still have just about a month to display the winter wreath, and hopefully you’ll have a place to store it until next year. If you’d like to enter to win, here are the details:
- Prize: One “snowball” wreath made by yours truly. (Disclaimer: It’s not actually made of snow. 😀 The wreath is made of Styrofoam, Epsom salt, Mod Podge, and hot glue. I’ll even throw in the chevron fabric hanger and bow.)
- To Enter: Simply leave a comment on this post. It’s that easy!
- Giveaway Closes: Friday, February 17th, 2012, at midnight CST
- Number Of Winners: One
- Prize Ships: Anywhere in the contiguous U.S. (So sorry, Hawaiians, Alaskans, and international readers! I wish I could afford to send it anywhere in the world! Please know that I greatly value you, too!!)
- The Fine Print: One entry per e-mail address, please! Winner will be selected via Random.org and announced on this post on the morning of Saturday, February 18, 2012.

February 15, 2012 at 3:15 pmI am such a big fan of your site. I was so thrilled when I found it. I go back each day and look at all the
cool stuff you do and wish I had the money to do those things. I love the wreath, but for financial reasons
I couldn’t afford to make one. I have been saving balls as I find them, and looking for different ways to
come up with it a little cost effective. I would be so proud to win it!! Display it with honor and of course
your website along with it!!

February 16, 2012 at 12:59 amI have the same problem. I have probably 30 wreaths and they are such a space-hog. I’m thinking of hanging a curtain rod from rope hooks in the ceiling to store them (throw some tarp or something over & pray not too many bugs/spiders/animals make a nest! LOL)

February 17, 2012 at 10:41 pmI would totally use this for more then winter decorations. I think an all year round door hanger is what my home needs. Add little this and that’s to it for Easter etc. then when winter comes around again a you wouldn’t have to repack it again and again and again.

It arrived perfectly.

April 2, 2012 at 7:52 pmSo glad, Diane! I was afraid it might break in transit. If you take it out to use next winter, and the Epsom salt has lost it’s luster, you might try a can of iridescent spray glitter to add some shine. 🙂 Enjoy!
[email protected]
April 2, 2012 at 8:25 pmI love the idea of the iridescent spray glitter (I’ve never seen this before…brand?) as I actually have a snowball garland that I purchased several years ago and it has a sort of iridescent fuzziness to it. Yes…this wreath is soo me! Yay!
Thanks again!
