A Big, Sloppy Virtual Kiss On The Cheek For You (Yes, YOU!!)
I just wanted to take a minute and say a big, huge thank you to each and every one of you who take the time to visit me here at Addicted 2 Decorating throughout the week. I know you have a packed schedule and many things demanding your attention, so it means the world to me that you’d fit in the time to hang out with me here.
You see, two years ago when Matt was layed off of his job, and then started having health problems and was unable to go back to work, we were worried. We wanted to have faith that God would take care of us financially, but at times it was difficult. Really difficult.
But even through our lack of faith at times, God was faithful. Little did we know that He would use this blog to make up for a large portion of that lost income. Matt and I have been amazed…stunned…at God’s provision in our lives through this little blog. We feel so enormously blessed.
And of course, it’s thanks to you! If it weren’t for you visiting me here on Addicted 2 Decorating, I’m not sure where we would be today. Oh, I’m sure God would have found some other creative way to provide for us, but I’m sure glad He chose this blog. Because, you see, I love this blog. I love getting to come here every day and share my silly little projects with you, and pass along DIY tips that I’ve learned. I love interacting with you, and I get a huge thrill when one of you tries one of my projects and shares your results with me.
So thank you. Thank you to each and every one of you.
But I wanted to find a way to show my appreciation to you…some way to take some of this blessing and “pay it forward.” So I’ve decided to have a little giveaway each month. Oh, it’s nothing super huge…just a little way for me to say “thank you” for visiting.
So for the forseeable future, I will have a drawing on the last Friday of the month. The prize? A $100 gift card to basically any home products store of your choosing. Hey…if I can purchase the gift card online and send it to you, then it’s fair game! You like West Elm? No problem! Home Depot? Absolutely! Just as long as it’s some sort of home products store, and I can purchase it and send it online.
Sound good?
So how do you enter? All you have to do is comment! Each time you comment on a blog post, you’ll be entered for the drawing.
Now let me clarify…if you comment twelve times on one single blog post, you’ll still only be entered once. Got it? One entry per blog post.
And because I know that some of you have a hard time commenting on the blog, you can also be entered for commenting on the blog post post on the A2D Facebook page. Still, one entry per blog post, but you can comment either here on the blog or on the A2D Facebook page…your choice.
That’s easy enough, right?!
And then on the last Friday of the month, I’ll draw a name to see who the winner is! Now because we’re already into the month of February, and I’m announcing this a bit late, I’m going to make this retroactive to February 1st. So all of you who have commented on a post this month…either here on the blog or on the A2D Facebook page…are already entered for the drawing this month! Yay!!
Oh, I hope I haven’t made this too complicated. I tend to over explain, and then I ramble, and then it just gets confusing. Let me know if you have any questions, okay? Here’s the “nutshell” version:
- Frequency of Drawing: Monthly
- Date of Drawing: Last Friday of every month
- Prize: $100 gift card to a home products store of the winner’s choosing
- Number of winners: One per drawing
- To Enter Drawing: Comment on blog post OR on blog post links on A2D Facebook page
- Number of Entries Per Person: One per blog post

Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. I think your blog is great! I have gotten so many ideas from you I don't know what to do with them…LOL I didn't post pictures but I did a coffee table redo last fall from you furniture DIY and it turned out fabulous!!! I have had several offers to redo furniture for my friends so I am looking forward to that this spring & summer. I'm a recent follower, but I've quickly become addicted! I check 3 or 4 times a day to see if you have a new post or to search through the archives. You have a wonderful gift for creating and decorating, and I'm thankful you are willing to share that with us. I'm finding my courage to say, "I know I can". Last week, I found 3 lamps and some pitchers at a garage sale, and thanks to this site, I'm planning their redo with paint. I also think at least one room at my house will have a board and batten treatment. And, I'm getting inspiration for the rest of the house here.
