As I was scrolling through the projects linked up at last week’s link party, this beautiful chair makeover from Denise at Pink Postcard caught my eye. And even more amazing is the fact that this was her first time to reupholster a chair!
Isn’t that pretty? I love the combination of the white cotton duck cloth and the burlap, and the number on the back of the chair has sentimental value, which makes it even more special! Here’s how the chair looked originally…
Such a day and night difference! Didn’t Denise do a fantastic job!? Be sure to visit Pink Postcard to see more after pictures, and she also has a post where she shares some of her basic upholstery tips. If Denise can do it, and I can do it, and so many others can do it, that means YOU can do it, too!
By the way, I also have an upholstery tutorial for reupholstering an occasional chair with a tufted back. It’s written in five parts, and it’s pretty darn detailed.

Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
I hope you’ll join me on my DIY and decorating journey! If you want to follow my projects and progress, you can subscribe below and have each new post delivered to your email inbox. That way you’ll never miss a thing!
