I can’t believe it’s Friday! This week has flown by for me. I’m pretty excited because by the end of the day, I’ll be caught up on my work for the week, which means I get my weekend to myself! I’ll be working on my living room, and Monday, I’ll be sharing the first big reveal of my tiny little condo. Until then, I’ll be working hard to get everything completed.
Now keep in mind, this is just stage one. In other words, I won’t have the furniture reupholstering finished by then, no decorating will be completed, and I’m quite sure the window treatments won’t be up. But what you WILL see is the completed wainscoting that I installed and finished by myself, the walls painted in my favorite happy yellow color, and the built-in cabinets and shelves that I installed and finished by myself. Until then, here’s a little sneak peek:
So, I’ll meet you back here on Monday for that! I’ll also share the “before” pictures of the living room that were taken the day we got the keys to our condo.
Oh, and I came across a fun little website called Icovia, where you can play around with the floor plan of your room. It’s not really the type of program where you can design the layout of an entire house, but it’s great for trying out different furniture arrangements for a room in your home. Here’s the one I did of my living room:
Well, enough about me. What about you? What do you have planned this weekend? Any projects around the house you’re working on? If things go well for me, I might take a couple of hours and go see The Blind Side. That looks like such a good movie!!
Have a great weekend! See you back here on Monday.
Addicted 2 Decorating is where I share my DIY and decorating journey as I remodel and decorate the 1948 fixer upper that my husband, Matt, and I bought in 2013. Matt has M.S. and is unable to do physical work, so I do the majority of the work on the house by myself. You can learn more about me here.
I hope you’ll join me on my DIY and decorating journey! If you want to follow my projects and progress, you can subscribe below and have each new post delivered to your email inbox. That way you’ll never miss a thing!
